Overview: Location: Hyattsville, MD 20785 Employment Type: Part-Time, 8-10 hours per week Job Summary We are seeking a qualified Physician - Medical Review Officer (MRO) for a part-time role. In this position, you will conduct in-person medical evaluations and consultations, performing return-to-duty and fitness-for-duty assessments as needed. Your responsibilities will include evaluating medical records, making referrals as necessary, and ensuring that employees meet safety and fitness standards before returning to work. Key Responsibilities Conduct return-to-duty medical evaluations with comprehensive medical record reviews, referring employees as appropriate following prolonged absences, major illnesses, or surgeries. Perform fitness-for-duty assessments at the request of supervisors when an employee's ability to perform essential job functions is in question or when safety risks are suspected. Collaborate with HR and supervisory staff to provide clear, medically sound evaluations and recommendations. Certifications and Licensure Requirements Current Medical License to practice in Maryland (preferred additional licensure in Washington, DC, and Virginia).
