Packaging Technician

Location: Vonore, TN

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Employees will work a rotating schedule that provides a 3-day weekend every other weekend.

AtWork Personnel is hiring Packaging Technicians for a growing manufacturing facility in Vonore, TN! This position is responsible for supporting packaging operations, production activities, material handling, and warehouse functions while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Job Summary

The Packaging Technician will perform a variety of manufacturing functions, including operating equipment, handling materials, preparing products for shipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting daily production operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support assigned packaging and production equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment, processes, and safety procedures.
• Assist with receiving and unloading incoming materials.
• Prepare products for shipment by packing, wrapping, and staging materials.
• Move, organize, and store materials throughout the facility.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
• Perform basic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized production area.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
• Work with team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with packaging, equipment operation, material handling, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to work well in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills and data entry experience preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other safety equipment.
