Will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. At Omaha Steaks, Director-level roles require a proven track record of success in previous leadership roles, with demonstrated ability to drive complex, enterprise-level initiatives to completion. Actively shape and influence the Horizontal Directors Leadership Team through collaborative decision-making and thought leadership. Essential job duties include, but are not limited to: Analyzes fulfillment and logistics data (ship mode, service, shipping error, spoilage, and freight cost). Identifies process improvements and cost efficiencies for Fulfillment and Logistics in support of budgetary planning and ops execution. Establishes and strengthens relationships with strategic partners within the supply chain/cold chain. This includes transportation providers, coolers, and dry ice vendors. Drives research and development within the logistics team. Seeks out opportunities to drive innovation and efficiency within the logistics operation. Leads peak planning for both DCs, aligning fulfillment and logistics operations Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize overall supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Analyze supply chain performance metrics and LPI’s to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and service. Oversee the procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management, to ensure services at the best cost Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and integration of supply chain activities with overall business objectives Implement best practices in logistics and distribution to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods Stay current with market and industry trends, technologies, and best practices in supply chain management, to drive innovation and improvement within the organization. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 4- year college degree or equivalent Logistics or general business 5-7 years logistics, supply chain management, shipping/distribution, coupled with people management. Must have experience withtransportation management, managing linehaul, and backhaul development in an over-the-road environment AS/400 Use of PC, Word, and Excel programs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Effective contract review and negotiation skills Skilled at time management and handling multiple projects at once Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations Flexible work schedule at peak Special Note: Military Veterans and their spouses are encouraged to apply.
