Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to prepare and review complex tax returns, provide strategic tax planning guidance, and mentor junior staff. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge and experience in public accounting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corps, and C corps. Provide tax planning and advisory services, identifying opportunities for savings and compliance efficiencies. Conduct research on complex tax issues and apply current tax laws. Coordinate client engagements from start to finish, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. Mentor and train junior staff. Collaborate with audit and accounting teams to provide integrated client solutions. Required Qualifications 4–6+ years of public accounting experience in tax with a CPA firm. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Experience with tax software (CCH Axcess, UltraTax, ProSystem fx) and Microsoft Office. Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills. Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues. Preferred Qualifications CPA licensed or actively pursuing CPA licensure.
