Central Meats is a family-owned butcher shop serving Chesapeake since 1960. We are hiring a dependable Retail Counter Associate to join our team.

To be considered, you MUST:

• Be available to work EVERY Saturday (8:00am5:00pm)
• Be available to work at least 24 hours per week
• Have flexible weekday availability
• Understand that consecutive fixed days off (such as Sunday/Monday every week) are not guaranteed

Full-time employees are required to work 40 hours per week. We do not offer night shifts. If you cannot meet these requirements, please do not apply.

Position Overview

This position is primarily customer service and stocking. This is NOT a meat cutting position. You will:

• Assist customers at the meat counter
• Package and restock meat cases
• Carry and stock product from coolers/freezers
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Work in a refrigerated environment

Physical Requirements

• Stand for 8+ hours
• Lift 4050 lbs consistently
• Use ladders to access cooler/freezer inventory
• Work comfortably in a cold environment
