Critical Care/ICU Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Locum Tenens Critical Care Nurse Practitioner in Boston, Massachusetts.
Specialty: Physician - Critical Care
Shift: 3x13-hour shifts per week; 6:00 AM 7:00 PM or 6:00 PM 7:00 AM; primarily nights and weekends
Start Date: 11/11/2026
End Date: Ongoing
Position Details: ICU coverage; APP will round with the attending in the morning, complete tasks, and round again in the afternoon. Minimum of 2 weekend shifts per month; preference for 4 weekend shifts per month. Friday nights count as weekend coverage.
Patient Population: Adult ICU patients; average daily census of 7 with 10 ICU beds
Setting: ICU / Teaching Hospital
Responsibilities: ICU rounding, completing clinical tasks, responding as a clinician, and providing bread-and-butter ICU and Med-Surg care
Required Procedures: Bread-and-butter ICU and Med-Surg procedures; no intubations, lines, ventilators, transplants, ECHO, EVD, or complex neuro stroke procedures
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: 4 APPs on staff; MD supervises during day shifts; fellow/attending supervises during night shifts
Days Per Month: 3 shifts per week; minimum 2 weekend shifts per month
On-Call/Weekends: No Call; primarily nights and weekends; minimum 2 weekend shifts per month, with preference for 4 weekend shifts per month
Requirements:
- Acute Care Board Certification with ICU Experience and 2+ Years of Critical Care Experience
- Massachusetts License Required; No NPs Requiring New Licensure
- ACLS, BLS, and DEA Required
