The Assistant Dietary Manager provides leadership and guidance to ensure that food quality, safety standards, and resident expectations are satisfactorily met.ResponsibilitiesAssist with training new Dietary Staff Members.Work cooperatively with residents, facility staff, physicians, consultants, vendors, and other service providers.Foodservice ManagementEnsure that standards and procedures for preparing food are being followed.Inspect meals and assure that standards for appearance, palatability, temperature, and serving times are metAssure that foods are prepared according to production schedules, menus, and standardized recipesFood SafetyAssure safe receiving, storage, preparation, and service of foodProtect food in all phases of preparation, holding, service, cooking, and transportation, using HACCP GuidelinesEnsure proper sanitation and safety practices of staffOtherBe able to work rotating shift.Perform duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager and Administrator.QualificationsLicensing RequirementsPreferred, but not required to have Certified Dietary Manager Certificate.Experience RequirementsPrior experience in healthcare foodservice requiredTwo years' experience in foodservice management preferred
