Multifamily Construction Project Manager in Tampa

Construction Project Manager – Mixed-Use Development We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. This role will oversee large-scale redevelopment projects from preconstruction through closeout, with a focus on mixed-use developments that include retail, commercial, big-box retail, and multifamily components. The ideal candidate will have experience managing 200+ unit ground-up multifamily projects, including wood-frame (stick-built) and/or Hambro structural systems over podium construction. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning through implementation and closeout. Manage large-scale mixed-use redevelopment projects, including retail, commercial, big-box, and multifamily construction. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Coordinate and supervise onsite personnel, subcontractors, and field operations. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, municipal officials, and clients to ensure successful project delivery. Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication between all stakeholders. Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements, change orders, and project costs. Monitor project performance to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, quality, and safety standards. Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure construction is completed according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes. Identify and resolve project challenges proactively to minimize delays and cost impacts. Qualifications Previous experience in construction project management, preferably with a General Contractor or Developer. Proven experience managing large-scale ground-up multifamily projects (200+ units) . Experience with mixed-use developments, including retail, commercial, and podium construction. Familiarity with stick-frame multifamily construction and/or Hambro structural systems . Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract management. Experience with construction management software and project tracking tools. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex redevelopment environments.
