Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Supervises and coordinates the activities of nursing staff while collaborating with healthcare team members to deliver quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients by collecting relevant health data and analyzing findings to establish diagnoses and care priorities.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to achieve patient outcomes effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and institutional protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, laboratory results, and response to interventions, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to provide education, discharge planning, and ongoing support.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to team members and coordinate nursing activities to ensure consistent and safe care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• At least two years of recent experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in telemetry.
• Proven ability to utilize electronic medical records, with EPIC experience preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required.
