Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Overview The Assistant Retail and Concessions Manager will oversee the daily operation of the Food & Beverage Outlets at the Lodge at Spruce Peak, as well as other potential activations. They train and motivate staff to provide exceptional service, maximize profitability, and drive a positive culture rooted in the Core Values of Spruce Peak. Responsibilities Train line level colleagues to ensure seamless & luxurious guest service. Communicate information to the service team giving them the knowledge to be individually empowered. Ensure a welcoming physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the department, including inspecting tabletops, countertops, and side stations, and ensuring operational readiness of all service periods. Supervise the performance, attendance, attitude, appearance, and conduct of the service team. Monitor and respond to customer experience opportunities in real time. Coach in the moment to service colleagues for both celebration and opportunities. Maintain house bank and handle all cash according to resort and departmental policies and procedures. Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all resort amenities and any special events. Takes restaurant reservations when needed for internal and external guests. Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Spruce Peak policies. Other duties as necessary. Qualifications High school diploma and one year of supervisory experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Basic computer skills, including MS Office and Micros. Flexible schedule to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have or obtain a valid DLC certificate. Ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours per day. Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 30 lbs.
