Plant Operations Manager

An established and growing manufacturing organisation is seeking a Plant Operations Leader to join its operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production leader to take ownership of daily plant operations, drive performance improvements, and develop leadership capability within a complex manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective execution of production plans while supporting the ongoing development of operational excellence across the site. Key Responsibilities Lead daily plant operations to ensure production plans are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with quality and throughput targets. Monitor real-time production performance, identify operational challenges, and implement corrective actions to maintain stability and productivity. Facilitate daily production meetings, reviewing key performance metrics and communicating operational priorities. Analyse production data to identify trends, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance overall plant performance. Champion a strong safety culture by promoting safe working practices, standard operating procedures, and accountability across production teams. Develop and support employees through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and active engagement on the manufacturing floor. Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to resolve operational issues and improve site performance. Identify opportunities to improve process reliability, efficiency, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Provide operational leadership support and act as deputy for the Production Manager when required. Requirements Bachelor's degree required; Engineering discipline preferred. Minimum of 3 years' leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment. Proven ability to drive employee accountability and achieve operational performance targets. Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs and operational metrics. Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement and delivering measurable performance enhancements. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. What's on Offer Competitive salary of $120,000 - $130,000.
