This is reflected in the success of our "Drive to Zero Injuries" initiative•Our Fort Madison, IA plant has participated in a Department of Energy audit to improve energy efficiency and decarbonize its operations **What you’ll do:** •Operate forklift at a safe speed and within company guidelines •Receive, ship, load, and unload all product, raw material and supplies •Keep production line supplied with the necessary raw material and supplies needed to run efficiently •Stack finished goods in the warehouse at various heights •Complete proper documentation and prepare necessary reports on incoming shipments •Maintain the forklifts in a clean and orderly fashion and perform daily forklift safety inspection •Work with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity **Job Requirements:**•High school diploma, GED, or equivalency•Ability to demonstrate forklift driving experience and pass a certification test •The ability to follow instructions and be a team player •A safety-oriented mindset •Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus **Who we are:** •America's largest metal food packaging producer, dedicated to sustainability and innovation•Silgan Containers is rethinking how to make the metal food can through increased recycled content, modern process overhauls, renewable energy procurement, and other innovative practices.**Read to make an impact?
