Research Participant (Background Actor)

Responsibilities:
- Act as a typical bus rider during a ~5-hour live bus ride
- Ride the bus for the full duration of a ~5-hour shift while acting as a typical passenger
- Act out various real life scenarios while riding the bus (e.g., engaging in casual conversation, using a phone, reading, etc.)
- Rotate between different seats throughout the session as directed
- Participate in brief, natural interactions with the research team (e.g., answering simple questions like “Is someone sitting here?” or “Would you mind moving over?”)
Requirements:
- Ability to remain engaged for the full duration of a shift (~5 hours)
- Must be comfortable being recorded on video for research purposes and sign a consent form authorizing use of your image
- Comfortable participating in light, natural interactions in a public-facing setting
Additional Details:
- Temporary, project-based opportunity
- No acting experience required—participants should behave as they normally would during a bus commute
