Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Step Down/PCU – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Every other weekend required. Patient ratio 1:4. 40 hours of orientation provided.

• 91-day travel assignment at a 379-bed Level II Trauma Center
• Progressive Care Unit/Telemetry environment with focus on nephrology and renal care
• 30-bed unit with average daily census of 28.8 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy

Requirements:

• Current Texas or Compact RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Intermediate Care (IMC) or Step Down nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required (hard stop requirement)
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Demonstrated competency in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips (hard stop requirement)
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, IV insulin protocols, and dysrhythmia management
• Ability to float between IMC units within scope of practice
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
