Commercial Window Fabricator – Build High-Performance Commercial Glazing and Aluminum Systems Job Overview Company: SG Metal & Glass. Salary/Pay Rate: $18 to $25 per hour. Location: Bridgeview, IL (On-site). Job/Employment Type: Full Time. Schedule: Monday - Friday (6:00 AM start). Project Scope: Glazing / Commercial Windows / Glass Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required. The Opportunity You will play a hands‑on role in our 20,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility, directly assembling the architectural systems that define the Chicago skyline. This position offers you a stable, long‑term career path with a 60‑year industry leader where you will master the art of glazing fabrication and glass system assembly. How You Will Make An Impact Operate specialized aluminum saws and fabrication machinery to cut materials with high precision. Utilize hand tools, drills, and impacts to prepare and assemble complex aluminum window frames. Assist in the custom fabrication of break metal components according to technical shop drawings. Interpret tape measures and architectural plans to ensure all components meet exact project specifications. Manage logistics by loading outgoing project trucks and safely unloading incoming material deliveries. Maintain a safe and organized shop environment while meeting daily production and assembly goals. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a construction, fabrication, or warehouse environment. High School Diploma or GED. Reliable transportation to and from the shop. Valid Driver’s License. Proven ability to read a tape measure accurately and use basic power tools safely. Physical capability to lift over 50 pounds and work on your feet for 8-hour shifts. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Prior experience with aluminum systems, architectural metals, or commercial glazing. Possession of an OSHA 10 Safety Certification.
