The hospital is central to a comprehensive network of affiliated ambulatory and outpatient practices, and serves as NYU Langone Health's anchor for healthcare access, growth, and delivery in the entire borough.

Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Part-Time Telephone Operator - Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate will provide service for telephone communications, and code/trauma conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operates communications system Telephone Switchboard
• Contacts all hospital personnel in emergency situations
• Maintains code book
• Maintains telephone database
• Interacts appropriately with different levels of management
• Pages trauma groups
• Announces over head emergency calls
• Follows fire alarm emergency procedures
• Answers emergency elevator calls
• Follows specific procedures for Code Trauma Condition

Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a High School Diploma required. Two years of Telephone experience in Healthcare, a Hotel or a large institutional environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required

The salary range for the role is $25.66 - $25.66 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
