Meijer Produce Team Member

The Produce Team Member ensures customers have access to fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service. This role focuses on product preparation, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked department.

What will you be doing?

• Provide excellent service by greeting customers, answering questions, and offering product suggestions.
• Stock, rotate, cull, and merchandise produce to maintain freshness and visual appeal.
• Prepare items such as cut fruit, packaged vegetables, and other ready-to-sell products following food safety standards.
• Monitor product quality and remove items that do not meet freshness guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area, including coolers, prep spaces, and sales floor displays.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and equipment-handling procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts, backroom organization, and receiving product deliveries.
• Support department goals by executing merchandising plans and seasonal displays.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leaders to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall store needs.
