Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General)

Administers nursing care as directed by a registered nurse or licensed physician. Performs procedures such as administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, and inserting catheters. Provides assistance during emergencies by administering first aid and performing CPR. Administers medications in various forms and provides instructions to patients. Maintains medication accountability records and observes patient conditions. Provides general nursing care and assists with daily living activities. Orders medication and medical supplies and performs clerical tasks as needed. Participates in staff meetings and training programs. Assists in the orientation and training of lower-level direct care staff. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Knowledge of nursing procedures, pharmacology, first-aid, CPR, and HIPAA regulations is required. Skill in using medical equipment and computers is necessary. Ability to understand practical nursing concepts and procedures is essential.
