Home Health Aide (HHA)
Staten Island Care Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will assist residents with transportation to and from medical appointments, ensure their safety during outings, and provide a supportive and caring presence throughout the day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Escort residents to and from clinic appointments and dialysis sessions.
- Monitor residents to prevent falls or altercations, intervening promptly as needed.
- Assist residents in preparing for appointments and ensure snacks are provided during out-on-pass periods.
- Report all incidents and accidents promptly to the Clinical Coordinator or ADNS.
- Represent the facility in a professional and courteous manner, upholding all policies and procedures both on and off-site.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and a dependable, flexible attitude.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing excellent resident care.
