Microsoft SQL Developer - Remote Position

Hartford, CT, United States . PCCAT6284 Hartford, CT 6+ Months Job Description Our Client is seeking an experienced, full-time, on-site Candidate with skills and expertise as described below. Responsibilities: Support migrating legacy Microsoft Access Applications to Microsoft SQL Server. Support roughly a dozen IT-supported Access applications built over the last 20 years, some of which support mission-critical functions and face compatibility issues with newer Access versions. Handle front-end and back-end separation, migrating backends to SQL Server and updating front ends accordingly. Modify VBA code for database structure changes and compatibility with Office versions. Provide guidance and mentorship to other development staff. Work with the app hosting team to optimize Access database setup on virtual desktops. Report to the IT Supervisor and coordinate with Business staff for testing and validation. Document all implemented changes. Applicants should demonstrate experience in converting Access databases to SQL Server, work well in a team, and possess excellent communication skills.
