Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLead TeacherCreative Learners Academy is seeking a dependable, nurturing, and experienced Lead Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.The Lead Teacher is responsible for managing the classroom, implementing curriculum and lesson plans, supervising classroom staff, maintaining required records, and building positive relationships with children and families.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferredAssociate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, may be consideredMinimum of one year of experience working in an early childhood education settingKnowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practicesAbility to successfully complete required state and federal background checks and Child Abuse Registry checksMust meet all licensing health requirements, including TB screening and required medical documentationMust be able to lift up to 40 pounds and actively supervise children throughout the workdayDependable transportation required; valid driver’s license may be requiredCPR/First Aid certification preferred or must be obtained as requiredKey ResponsibilitiesPlan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities using Creative Learners Academy’s curriculumSupport children’s social-emotional, physical, language, cognitive, and developmental growthMaintain a safe, welcoming, organized, and engaging classroom environmentSupervise children closely during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest periods, transitions, and other routinesAssist with diapering, potty training, handwashing, feeding, and other age-appropriate care routines as neededObserve and assess children’s development and maintain accurate recordsUse positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management strategiesCommunicate regularly and professionally with parents and caregivers regarding their child’s progress and daily experiencesSupervise, guide, and support assistant teachers and other classroom staffMaintain accurate attendance, incident, assessment, health, and classroom documentationFollow all Creative Learners Academy policies and applicable state licensing, health, and safety requirementsParticipate in required staff meetings, professional development, training, and continuing educationMaintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism, dependability, flexibility, and teamworkAssist with transportation and supervision of children when requiredPerform other duties as assigned by administrationWhat We’re Looking ForWe are looking for an educator who genuinely enjoys working with children, understands that early childhood classrooms require patience and flexibility, and can confidently lead both children and classroom staff.
