Key Responsibilities

• Open to experienced clinicians and recent graduates; mentorship available for new graduates.
• Require training and interest in both Hematology and Oncology.
• Practice 3 days per week at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL and 2 days per week at Carle Mattoon on Hurst Clinic in Mattoon, IL.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team including Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Gynecologic Oncologists, Breast Surgeons, genetic and nutritional counseling services.
• Participate in weekly disease–specific tumor boards (Upper GI, Lower GI, Breast, Thoracic, etc.) and collaborate closely with Radiation Oncology and all surgical services.
• Support the Breast Cancer Program at the Carle Cancer Institute in Urbana, IL, which has CoC and NAPBC accreditations and holds a weekly Breast Cancer Tumor Board and multidisciplinary breast cancer clinic.

About the Carle Cancer Institute

• Strong clinical cancer research supported by a National Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
• Currently over 100 open clinical trials at the Urbana campus for cancer patients in East Central Illinois.
• Houses the Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute, supporting investigator‑initiated studies.
• Collaborates closely with the University of Illinois Basic Science Cancer Center in Urbana, Illinois.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $625,000 - $700,000. This represents a good‑faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting. Carle Health offers a comprehensive benefits package for team members and providers.
