Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 4 NICU with 71 beds, including stepdown patients, at a 1:2 ICU or 1:3 Level 2 patient ratio
• Care for neonatal patients with diagnoses including prematurity, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical conditions, ECMO, and therapeutic cooling
• Perform and maintain competency in sterile field procedures including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes as assessed through a pass/fail SIMs Lab on Day 1 of orientation
• Float as needed to mother-baby and labor care units for infant care assignments
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including neonatologists, mid-levels, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy available 24/7
• Fulfill weekend and holiday rotation requirements (every 3rd weekend; 3 of 6 major holidays)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 3 years of NICU experience; at least 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Cardiac STABLE Plus certification
• Demonstrated competency in sterile field technique, Foley catheter insertion, and central line dressing changes
• Proficiency or ability to work with Cerner EMR and Philips telemetry systems

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience caring for ECMO and therapeutic cooling patients
• Familiarity with NICU-specific pharmacy workflows and respiratory therapy collaboration
