TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014!

Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU/PCU Float

Location

Roanoke, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Float between ICU and PCU units as staffing needs are re-evaluated; floating may occur up to every 4 hours within a shift
• Provide direct patient care in ICU settings at a 2:1 ratio and PCU settings at a 5:1 ratio
• Manage advanced IV therapy including arterial lines, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, and continuous IV sedation and vasoactive drip titration
• Support respiratory care including BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilated patient management
• Perform cardiac monitoring including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Adhere to IV insulin protocols and provide wound care for surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia State or Compact RN license (pending license accepted only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Demonstrated comfort and competency working across all ICU and PCU unit types
• Experience at a large Level I or Level II facility required
• Must be willing to work one holiday per 13-week contract period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of ICU nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus; first-time travelers are accepted
