Position Overview Security Officer Part Time Vehicle Patrol • Petersburg, MI As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will support a utilities location, monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security‑related incidents. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $16.91 / Hour Job Schedule Saturday 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sunday 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observed conditions and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, and perimeter points to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and help verify entry authorization for restricted areas while following site protocols for visitor processing, deliveries, and/or contractor access. Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public responders regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, utility‑related hazards, and other security‑related matters requiring attention. Minimum Requirements This is primarily a driving post. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
