ICU Travel Registered NurseThe ICU Travel Registered Nurse provides direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill adult patients. This position requires strong clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, effective communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to stabilize patients, implement treatment plans, and promote safe, quality outcomes.ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for critically ill patients.Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, laboratory results, and other diagnostic data.Manage ventilated patients, invasive lines, vasoactive medications, and other critical-care therapies.Administer medications, blood products, IV fluids, and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policy.Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions promptly.Respond to rapid-response and emergency situations as assigned.Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans.Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge needs.Communicate effectively during handoff reports and interdisciplinary rounds.Follow infection-prevention, medication-safety, patient-identification, and regulatory standards.Float to comparable units when needed, based on competency and facility policy.Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required by the assignment.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureGraduate of an accredited nursing program.Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice or active multistate compact privilege.Minimum of two years of recent ICU or critical-care nursing experience.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.Demonstrated experience caring for ventilated patients and managing critical-care medications.Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, health screening, and competency assessments.Experience with electronic medical records and computerized documentation.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
