MDW Associates is seeking a Policy and Planning Analyst to support policy development, strategic planning, governance, and program-management activities for a complex Department of War organization. This role translates information from multiple sources into practical plans, decision materials, and management actions.

This role supports a federal organization responsible for personnel security, mission assurance, and protection of sensitive work environments.

This position is remote eligible; periodic on-site support in Quantico, Virginia may be required based on mission needs.

The Policy and Planning Analyst may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:

• Draft and update policies, procedures, standards, templates, and management documentation for government review.
• Develop and maintain work breakdown structures, integrated schedules, cost estimates, assessment reports, and status dashboards.
• Support governance reviews, boards, working groups, and program-management reviews; prepare briefings, minutes, and action-item trackers.
• Analyze information from multiple stakeholders, reconcile conflicts, identify issues and risks, and present options to leadership.
• Support change-control, process-baselining, continuous-improvement, and special-project activities.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Experience conducting organizational assessments, developing procedures, and preparing management documentation.
• Experience supporting project planning, schedules, cost tracking, risk management, or performance reporting.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, technical-writing, and Microsoft Office skills.
• This position requires U.S. citizenship in accordance with applicable government contract requirements

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Experience supporting federal governance, portfolio management, or technology programs.
• Familiarity with PMI PMBOK, CMMI, Lean, Agile, or similar process-improvement methods.

Education Requirement(s):

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, management, or a related field; or 8+ years of relevant policy, strategic planning, or operational-management experience.

Security Requirement(s):

• Candidates for this position must have an Active US Security Clearance (Secret).
