In this role, you will:

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License, or be certified in special education (emergency certification considered)
• Demonstrate strong experience in special education, especially with autism support at the high school level
• Solid understanding of general education curriculum and best instructional practices
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and the wider school team
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction and individualized support to high school students with autism
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general educators to create comprehensive educational plans
• Assess academic progress and adapt instruction to meet students’ unique needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to parents and staff regarding student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute actively to goal development and implementation
