Step into a meaningful contract role providing essential support to students and educators for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time paraprofessional opportunity is based in a vibrant elementary and middle school environment near Arlington Heights, IL, where your expertise will make a daily impact in both academic and personal support. Your primary focus will be 1:1 assistance—working closely with students, including supporting a diabetic elementary student and providing guidance to a middle schooler.

What You Will Bring:

• Valid Illinois Paraprofessional certification (required)
• Previous experience assisting elementary-aged students, especially those with challenging behaviors
• Familiarity and comfort with providing toileting support, or willingness to learn
• A flexible approach to addressing the unique needs of each student
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems, stay organized, and collaborate with teaching staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one student support, focusing on engagement and success in both classroom and individual settings
• Reinforce classroom routines and instructional activities as directed by teachers
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation
• Provide assistance during classroom transitions, activities, and meals
• Support toileting and personal care needs discreetly and compassionately
• Maintain accurate documentation of daily progress and communication with instructional teams

This role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule (35 hours per week), aligning with regular school hours. The position covers the entire school year, ensuring you play a vital role in student development and success.
