Cardiology Physician

Job Description: Reason for coverage: Open position with a need for coverage. Coverage schedule: minimum of 2 weeks per month. Must be available a full 7 days in a row. Weekly schedule: Monday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM, including night and weekend call Weekday hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekend call: Starts Friday at 4:30 PM and ends Monday at 7:00 AM. Evening call: Starts at 4:30 PM and ends the following morning at 7:30 AM. The provider would be in house Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, take call Monday-Friday for the night shift and then take weekend call through Monday morning. Average inpatient admissions per physician per day: Approximately 10, depending on inpatient consults. Total number of beds: 256. Number of ICU beds: 20. Cardiologists in the group: 3 non-invasive cardiologists. Other cardiologists will be present during locum coverage. Locum physician will supervise residents and medical students. Patient age demographic: 18 years and older. Documentation system/EMR: Currently Flex and Merge Cardio. Required procedures: Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Electrocardiograms (EKGs), and stress echo. Schedule needed- The provider needs to be available for ALL shifts: April 14th starting at 7:30am through April 21st ending at 7:30am April 21st starting at 7:30am through April 28th ending at 7:30am June 16th starting at 7:30am through June 23rd ending at 7:30am Requirements: Board Certified in Cardiology - Required Active NY license - Required BLS, ACLS - Required Required to work 7 days per week- 2 times monthly
