Business Manager – Finance & Insurance

$200,000–$250,000 Annual Earning Potential | Base + Commission

River Valley Powersport & Marine is hiring an experienced Business Manager to join our Rochester dealership. Bring your finance and insurance experience to a role where you can build customer relationships, drive results, and help customers confidently complete their next boat or powersports purchase.

We’re looking for someone who shares our customers’ enthusiasm for what we sell. Whether your passion is boating, fishing, motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, or personal watercraft, you understand the excitement behind the purchase—and want to help customers enjoy it.

Your primary responsibility will be managing the Finance & Insurance (F&I) process—from credit applications and lender approvals through product presentation, paperwork, and funding. You will also work closely with sales leadership to support daily operations, coach sales staff, and deliver a professional customer experience.

Experienced F&I Managers, Dealership Finance Managers, and Business Managers from marine, powersports, automotive, or RV dealerships are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

• $200,000–$250,000 annual earning potential.
• Base salary plus commission.
• Total earnings depend on individual performance and sales results.

What You’ll Do

• Guide customers through financing, protection products, purchase paperwork, and delivery requirements.
• Present and sell applicable F&I products by clearly explaining their features, value, and terms.
• Accurately prepare credit applications, verify information, and submit financing requests to lenders.
• Build lender relationships, secure financing approvals, and manage funding requirements and outstanding documents.
• Complete sales contracts, licensing, registration, and titling paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Maintain organized deal files and follow applicable requirements for customer information, financing, and disclosures.
• Support the General Sales Manager with deal structuring, sales desk coverage, customer concerns, and daily workflow.
• Help lead sales huddles, coach team members, and reinforce River Valley’s sales process.
• Participate in department goal setting and track progress toward sales, F&I, and customer service objectives.
• Coordinate with sales and accounting to keep transactions moving smoothly from purchase through funding.

What You Bring

• Experience in dealership finance and insurance, including customer financing, lender submissions, F&I product sales, and deal funding.
• A track record of closing deals while building customer trust.
• A real passion for marine or powersports products. You enjoy learning about boats, motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, or personal watercraft and understand the lifestyle our customers are investing in.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly.
• Attention to detail, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.
• The ability to manage multiple transactions, meet deadlines, and stay organized during busy periods.
• A team-oriented approach and confidence supporting and coaching sales staff.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Marine or powersports experience is helpful. Automotive and RV dealership experience is also welcome.

Schedule

• Five-day workweek, including Saturdays, with a weekday off.
• Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• Additional availability may be needed during boat shows and peak spring and early summer sales periods.
