Job Description Job Description Nutrition Coordinator / Registered Dietary Tech – Full Time Martha and Mary Health Services is seeking a dependable, engaging and organized Nutrition Coordinator to assist in our Dietary department. General Description The Nutrition Coordinator / Registered Dietary Technician will assist the Registered Dietician in all nutrition and dietary functions, tasks, and projects to ensure proper nutrition is provided to our residents. Wage: $20.25-$22.69/hr. depending on applicable experience as determined by HR and the Hiring Manager Some fun things you’ll do: Update and maintain tray card information Print and distribute menus Manage and print tray cards Visit residents to gather info on food preferences and assist residents with menu selections as needed Communicate to the Registered Dietitian (RD), as indicated, regarding any changes in residents’ nutritional status, diet tolerance, intake, etc. Update menus, spreadsheets and HACCP logs Manage labels for snack items Update resident profile cards/tray cards/menus according to current diet order and changes in food preferences Update nourishment list Participate in tray audits Provide training as needed in service and policy Create and monitor signage for dining rooms Participate in meetings with staff as needed Comply with and ensure departmental compliance to state and federal guidelines We are looking for: Preferred Qualifications - Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and/or Diet Tech - Registered (DTR) Someone with the ability to understand, implement, and follow policies and procedures Someone who has the ability to multitask and prioritize daily priorities Someone who has the understanding and support of Martha & Mary mission and vision Someone who has the understanding and ability to deal with confidential information with discretion Someone with reliable attendance for scheduled hours and the willingness to be flexible in covering additional hours, as needed Someone who can maintain perspective and a sense of humor, responding positively to rapidly changing demands Someone who can handle individuals and situations with understanding, diplomacy and tact Someone who can work cooperatively in a team environment Someone who has problem solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected/unpredictable circumstances Someone who can work positively to find solutions to the problems that are identified within the organization About our organization Martha and Mary has been caring for children, seniors and families in Greater Kitsap for over 130 years. Paid Time Off (PTO) is accrued at varying rates depending on length of employment. Accrual rates begin at 5.32 hours per month based on a 40-hour workweek.
