Elite Help at Home is seeking a PRN Companion Caregiver to provide attentive, respectful in-home support for clients in Lake Charles, LA. This is a 1099 contractor opportunity.

Position Summary

As an Elite Companion Caregiver, you will deliver compassionate companionship and assistance that helps clients feel comfortable, supported, and engaged in their daily routines. You will build trust through kind communication, reliable presence, and a person-centered approach.

This part-time, onsite role is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful work, values consistency, and takes pride in supporting others with dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and conversation to support clients’ emotional well-being and daily quality of life

  • Assist with light, non-medical tasks as needed to support comfort and routine

  • Encourage safe participation in daily activities and help maintain engagement within the client’s preferences

  • Support client independence by using respectful communication and following individualized care needs

  • Maintain a professional, calm demeanor and document relevant observations as required

Required Qualifications

  • Experience providing companionship and/or caregiving support in a personal or professional setting

  • Ability to communicate clearly, treat clients with dignity, and maintain confidentiality

  • Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to punctuality for scheduled shifts

  • Comfortable working onsite in a home-care environment

  • Willingness to follow client-specific routines and safety guidance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior caregiver experience in home or community settings

  • Training or experience related to basic caregiving, support, or personal assistance

  • Familiarity with safety and respectful assistance practices for clients with varying needs

  • A patient, empathetic approach and strong interpersonal skills

Compensation

Hourly rate: $14
