This innovative firm is focused on automating the busywork for carriers, managing general agents, and brokers, enhancing efficiency and productivity within the industry. With a strong backing in the venture round, they are poised for significant growth and impact. What You Will Do Design and implement scalable backend systems using Python to streamline insurance workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Optimize existing codebases for performance and maintainability. Develop and maintain APIs that support various applications and services. Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues in a timely manner. Assist in the deployment and monitoring of backend services to ensure high availability. Ideal Candidate Background 2+ years of experience in backend engineering, primarily using Python. Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices. Experience with API development and integration. Familiarity with cloud services and deployment strategies. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Experience with AI or machine learning technologies. Knowledge of insurance industry workflows and challenges. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker or Kubernetes. Compensation and Benefits Base salary ranges from $150K to $275K, complemented by equity options between 0.1% and 0.3%.
