Job Description This position is central to the missionaries' role to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. The incumbent will assist the regional manager in administrative and training functions for 200-400 mentors and supervise the area’s training assistants. This person will also work closely with the division's managers, mentor trainers, and mentors to assist in the effort of ensuring the proper training of missionaries and mentors. The ability to read, write, and communicate in both English and Spanish is required for this role. Responsibilities Assists the division managers in the following areas: Interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new mentors Managing administrative tasks including: Monitoring substitution process and any undesirable patterns of performance Scheduling observations, interviews, performance reviews, exit interviews, meetings, etc. Serving on committees as assigned Disciplinary functions (second witness during warnings, logs and tracks, and reports performance to manager for direct reports) Strategic Planning Coordinating mentor assignment and shifts Coordinating missionary number projections and ensuring appropriate staffing levels Supervises and trains area assistants Supervises the work of other employees (may include mixed workforce) Provides suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of employees under their supervision Qualifications Required: 2 years of college or administrative experience (or equivalent combination of college and work experience) Must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish proficiently Must have excellent organization and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to quickly understand and work with technology Must be an excellent problem-solver Ability to handle pressure well Physical requirements: may include sitting for long periods of time and using monitors/equipment Preferred: Experience as an MTC teacher or mentor Understanding of Preach My Gospel and the current MTC curriculum Excellent training ability in large/small group settings (using the training model and coaching techniques) Only members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend qualify for employment.
