Job Title: Controls Automation Engineer – Rockwell
Location: Lenexa, KS – Onsite
Duration: 12-month contract
Pay: $42–$45/hour on W2
Shift: Monday–Friday, First Shift Flex Schedule
Interview: Onsite
Travel: Up to 10% may be required

Job Description:

We are seeking a Controls Automation Engineer with 3–5 years of industrial automation experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Key Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs – ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000.
Experience with HMI/SCADA systems such as FactoryTalk View, Ignition, or Wonderware.
Knowledge of industrial networks including EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus, and Modbus .
Experience troubleshooting instrumentation, VFDs, servo systems, MCCs, electrical, and control-system faults.
Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
Understanding of NEC/NFPA, OSHA, and industrial safety standards .
Experience supporting automation projects from design through startup and handover.
