Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 36 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO).

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Needs to be experienced with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient population.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Critical care experience preferred.

Required Credentials: RRT required.

Unit Details: Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.

Shift & Scheduling: Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week for orientation. Weekends as required by facility. Call as required by facility.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
