Bartender

Queen Park Social is a premier entertainment venue located in Lower South End. We offer bowling, arcade games, and a lounge with VIP tables, a DJ, and state of the art lighting and sound systems. We strive to be a one stop destination to eat, drink, and play. We are currently looking to add strong, self-sufficient bartenders to our growing team as we move into our busier event season. Queen Park Social is a great place to build skills in all aspects of the service industry so for those who are serious about advancing their careers, this is the place to do it. Responsibilities Familiarize yourself with our changing food and beverage menus Make commonly known drinks (LIT, old fashioned, lemon drop, etc.) and learn new drinks as our menus change Greet guests at the bar and take food and drink orders. A good understanding of different drinks/cocktails for recommendations is appreciated Provide guests with top‑notch customer service. The better you are at talking the better you will be at serving; anyone can learn a menu but not everyone can make an experience memorable. Assess customer needs and preferences and make recommendations based on feedback Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. A full bar is an attractive bar and an attractive bar is a busy bar. Expect bartenders to take pride in their space and keep it clean and organized Comply with all food and beverage regulations, including checking customers’ identification to confirm they meet legal drinking age The ideal candidate has Ability to listen and communicate effectively. We answer any question you have to the best of our ability but we can't help if we don't know. No question is a dumb question 2 years of bartending experience preferred. Prior event serving/management experience very helpful. Open to inexperienced applicants willing to learn and grow within the company. We serve large events of 500+ people and need bartenders who can keep up with the high demand Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks. The faster and fancier you can make drinks, the more money you can make Strong organizational skills. We have a large building and strive to keep everything organized to make things easier for staff and ensure customers receive best service in a neat and timely fashion Ability to multitask efficiently. Many moving parts in this business with a kitchen, a bar, a bowling lounge, and an arcade Punctual and reliable. Show up on time and earn more money than those who are late.
