R&D Technician

Job Description

The R&D Technician / Specialist will support Kraft Heinz's North America Taste Elevation team by executing analytical lab measurements and supporting product development initiatives. This role is highly detail-oriented and lab-focused, requiring strong data integrity, organization, and multitasking capabilities. The technician will assist with ingredient preparation, experimentation, shelf-life evaluation, pilot plant activities, and documentation while collaborating closely with Food Scientists and R&D teams.

Skills and Requirements

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Ability to manage large volumes of data without compromising accuracy

• Prior experience working in a laboratory environment

• Hands-on experience with:

? Sample preparation

? Measuring, weighing, mixing, labeling

? Analytical balances and pipetting (preferred)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in STEM:

? Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Dairy/Meat Science, Chemical Engineering (preferred)

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs - Experience in food, beverage, or CPG R&D labs

• Exposure to pilot plant or production trials

• Shelf-life testing experience

• Background in QC, food science, chemistry, or related fields

Experience managing ingredient or lab inventory
