Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in a school setting located in Gastonia, NC. This role is ideal for professionals skilled in pediatric speech therapy, school-based SLP services, teletherapy, and clinical fellowship year (CFY) candidates. The contract runs from ASAP through May 21, 2025, offering 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services in elementary and middle school settings, including itinerant assignments
  • Work with diverse caseloads, including extension classrooms and Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Utilize the district’s IEP system with provided training to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Maintain organized documentation and participate in paid team meetings and administrative tasks
  • Potentially supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
  • Deliver both in-person and teletherapy sessions when applicable

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP license or certification appropriate for school settings
  • Experience or interest working with pediatric populations
  • Ability to adapt to various school environments, including itinerant roles
  • Willingness to supervise and collaborate with support staff
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with district policies and procedures

Location and Schedule:

  • Gastonia, NC
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
