As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.Job responsibilitiesExecutes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills5+ years of middleware software development experienceDeliver system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for production servicesDevelop software with advanced proficiency in at least one programming languageImplement automation and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practicesExecute across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Apply agile engineering practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security-focused developmentDemonstrate proficiency in a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)Apply in-depth knowledge of financial services and common enterprise IT systemsDeliver solutions using practical cloud-native engineering experienceExposure to AWS with TerraformPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsServer-side programming experience (Java; Java plus C/C#/Python acceptable)Experience designing and developing high-throughput, low-latency solutions for mission-critical 24/7 applicationsSpring experience (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Kafka)Experience distributing technologies and frameworks (Kafka, Cassandra, Spark, Hadoop)Experience writing performant SQL and stored procedures (Oracle/Sybase/SQL Server/CockroachDB)Experience using messaging technologies (Kafka, WebSphere MQ/JMS, RabbitMQ)Experience building for testability and implement test automation (JUnit/Mockito, Cucumber/Gherkin), and use Git for source controlAbout UsChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
