Job Title: Associate Technician, Quality Control
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Cary, IL
Shift: 2nd Shift | Sunday-Thursday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Job Summary:
The Associate Technician, Quality Control is responsible for supporting essential laboratory operations and quality control activities. This role assists with laboratory maintenance, reagent preparation, glassware cleaning, supply management, routine analytical and microbial testing, and production line sampling to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare reagents, solutions, diluents, and culture media for routine and non-routine laboratory analyses.
Perform pH analysis on reagents and solutions required for testing activities.
Conduct routine and non-routine sampling and processing of production lines for cleaning surveillance programs.
Support laboratory maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance of equipment, waste disposal, and cleaning of laboratory areas.
Perform laboratory glassware cleaning, organization, and stocking activities.
Order, receive, and maintain inventory records for laboratory supplies and reagents.
File, copy, and maintain laboratory records in accordance with record retention requirements.
Assist with routine analytical and microbial testing activities.
Perform additional laboratory operational duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Previous laboratory, manufacturing, quality control, or related experience preferred.
Ability to follow written procedures and standard operating guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work the assigned 2nd shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a laboratory, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated environment.
Familiarity with analytical and microbiological testing procedures.
Knowledge of quality systems and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
