EAS Systems Engineer I

Job Summary Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Engineer I at our Lynnwood, WA location. The IT Systems Engineer I for Engineering Applications is a technical engineer responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of Crane A&E Product Data Management (PDM) systems, supporting day‑to‑day operations, user management, routine configuration changes, and maintaining system stability. Essential Functions Ensure uptime of critical business systems and infrastructure by monitoring and remediating issues with critical applications. Provide first‑line support by administering and maintaining PDM applications. Create and manage user accounts, permissions and access requests. Configure project setups, templates, and basic workflow configurations; customize solutions on IBM Rational Tools/SolidWorks EPDM to meet business and customer requirements. Support data entry, requirement imports/exports and baseline creation. Monitor system health, escalating issues to senior engineers and troubleshooting user issues while performing routine maintenance. Work on enhancement requests, assist with tool upgrades, patches and environment migrations, and support deployments across dev, test, and production. Prepare technical documents, action plans and other solution documents as needed. Support end‑user training upon completion of software solutions. Define, deliver, and support strategic plans for process/workflow automation. Provide on‑demand COTS applications support for purchase, installation, troubleshooting and system access. Ensure adherence to DFARS, ITAR and related regulatory compliance processes and requirements. Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management. Eligibility Requirement This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information and will only consider U.S. persons. The role is part of a U.S. Department of Defense contractor and is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Minimum Qualifications 0‑2+ years of experience in administration, custom development, or system configuration of PDM systems. Basic knowledge of IBM Rational Suite tools such as EWM or DOORS, supporting requirements management and configuration management. Familiarity with programming or scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or REST APIs for customizing and automating PDM processes. Basic knowledge of requirements management, software configuration management and change control. Preferred Qualifications Basic knowledge of TeamCenter PLM or Windchill applications. Basic knowledge of configuration and task management in Azure DevOps. Basic knowledge of Windows server administration. Skills/Abilities Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Effective time management and prioritization skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong customer and communication skills, with clear written and verbal communication. Self‑motivated and driven for efficiency and continuous improvement. Documentation writing skills for technical and non‑technical audiences. Education/Certification BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
