Position Description

POSITION TITLE: Child Care Teacher

FLSA: Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• CDA or COM preferred, but not required; ELECT training required in the first 90 days of employment; safe sleep training required once hired; additional trainings may be required
• Ability to work well with Children and Adults
• Capable of performing duties and tasks as assigned, independently and in a dependable and prompt manner
• Record of Good Attendance on the Job
• Clear Criminal History Record

REPORTS TO: Child Care Director

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide instruction, supervision, and love to children in an early childhood classroom setting. Teachers will assist in, develop, and implement lesson plans and classroom activities throughout the daily schedule; maintain all applicable licensing guidelines; communicate with families; and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children within their care.
