Job Title: Seasonal Travel RN - Postpartum Profession: RN Specialty: Postpartum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS & NRP required Must-Have: - Minimum 1-year current acute care Postpartum hospital experience Description: This is a seasonal travel RN position in a postpartum unit. The unit has 29 beds and is staffed by a dedicated team. Patient ratios are 3-4 couplets per RN. Primary equipment used includes Welch Allen vitals machines and POC glucose monitoring tools. The EMR system utilized is Meditech. Candidates with high-risk postpartum experience and Level 2 Nursery experience will be prioritized. Typical procedures include POC glucose monitoring, breastfeeding support, postpartum hemorrhage management, circumcision assistance, and hypertension assessment/management. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Teamwork is essential in this busy postpartum environment. Scheduling is flexible with a supportive work culture. The unit cares for a significant number of patients monthly, adding to the dynamic nature of the role.
