Job Description:
- Takes call to provide 24/7 coverage, including weekends and holidays.
- Conducts forensic examinations and evidence collection for victims of sexual assault.
- Ensures competency and certification as defined by relevant state councils against sexual violence.
- Collaborates with medical and law enforcement professionals to support victims.
- Maintains accurate documentation and follows legal protocols for evidence handling. Provides compassionate care and emotional support to victims.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs. [Required]
Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 1+ year hospital experience [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - Adult (SANE-A) [Preferred]
- Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) [Preferred]
