Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities
  • Conduct a diverse array of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
  • Prioritize patient comfort and safety during examinations, ensuring each step is communicated clearly and compassionately
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Function and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
  • Document procedures with accuracy and maintain comprehensive patient records within the electronic medical system
  • Stay informed about advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices
Education Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
  • Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred
Certifications Required
  • Active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Skills Needed
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques, including effective patient positioning
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal competencies
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
