Lead Application Developer

Salary: $94,000 - 134,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• We are looking for 7+ years of experience as a software developer in enterprise settings.
• We need demonstrated experience as a technical lead or task lead on federal IT programs.
• We expect experience supporting mission-critical production systems.
• Strong hands-on expertise in C#, ASP.NET, and the .NET Framework is required.
• We require solid SQL Server skills, including T-SQL, database design, and administration.
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, XML, and JavaScript is needed.
• Experience working in Agile environments and with modern SDLC practices is required.
• We need a strong understanding of release management, testing, and deployment workflows.
• You must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience ensuring compliance with federal testing and performance standards, including IRS guidelines, is required.
• You must be able to obtain and maintain a High-Risk Background Investigation, such as Public Trust or higher.

• We will rely on you to contribute as a key member of an Agile team across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment.
• You will lead the design, development, testing, and rollout of enterprise application releases.
• You will coordinate daily development efforts to support timely delivery of mission-critical systems.
• You will oversee operations and maintenance work, including defect remediation, enhancements, system upgrades, and performance tuning.
• You will guide release planning, execution, and deployment across UAT and production environments.
• You will ensure our applications meet IRS testing procedures and performance validation expectations.
• You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for Government Program Managers, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• You will make sure our solutions align with federal compliance, security, and architectural standards.
• You will provide technical oversight and mentor junior developers, reinforcing best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps.
• You will support continuous improvement efforts focused on process optimization, automation, and scalability.
