Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a PICU or pediatric acute care setting (pediatric critical care nurse)
  
• BLS certification (AHA) required
  
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
  
• Strong clinical skills in pediatric assessment, medication administration, and critical care interventions
  
• Excellent communication, family-centered care, and teamwork abilities
  

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
  
• Continuously monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and implement appropriate interventions
  
• Administer medications and manage IV/infusion therapies and advanced monitoring devices
  
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, social workers, and other multidisciplinary team members
  
• Educate and support patients' families, providing clear communication about care plans and progress
  
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic health record
