Term Lecturer

Job Summary Appointed on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon student demand, and typically teach between 3-9 credits per semester, dependent on program requirements, in various formats (ex., classroom settings, labs, simulation spaces, at clinical sites). Responsibilities primarily involve delivering didactic content through both on-site and online platforms, managing course delivery, grading, student mentoring, and maintaining regular office hours. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Develop and manage online course content using Desire to Learn (D2L) where applicable. Publish and maintain the course syllabus. Oversee course management and content delivery. Conduct assessments and assign grades for student performance. Provide student mentoring and academic support, including designated office hours. Qualifications Education Doctorate Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Experience Previous clinical experience in applicable programs 3-5 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities A commitment to graduate student success within the academic environment. The ability to work independently and effectively engage with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, administration, staff, patients, and external partners. Ability to prioritize tasks, self-monitoring, and collaborative teamwork, especially in interprofessional settings. Tracking multiple project progress is an essential skill for success in this role. Additional Job Details (if applicable) The salary of the finalist selected will vary based on the term lecturer role an individual is hired for and the number of credit hours or lab hours they will be working during the semester.
